Being the first generation to go to college is pretty scary. Not just for me but for my parents as well. A mentor is supposed to be a guide, an influential person and I definitely received that and much more from both my mentors, Laura and Jim Jaffe. It’s hard to sum up the time I’ve shared with my mentors but overall I’d like to say how grateful I am to have been a part of this program which has prepared me for college in ways that are invaluable. Both Laura and Jim have been by my side every step of the way, making sure I’ve gotten the most of my freshman year of college, and thanks to them, I have.
